dance classes
Move. Explore. Connect.
Originally from Finland, I trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance before performing professionally in Denmark and later joining Phoenix Dance Theatre in Leeds. During my time with Phoenix, I had the privilege of working under the artistic direction of Darshan Singh Bhuller and performing works by choreographers including Robert Cohan, Didy Veldman, Rui Horta and Arthur Pita.
Alongside my performance career, I completed an MA in Dance Training and Education and am also a qualified yoga teacher. My understanding of movement, alignment and wellbeing naturally informs the way I teach.
Today, much of my teaching takes place through DOGS LAND - Mad Dogs Dance Theatre's professional class programme, where I regularly lead contemporary dance classes for professional dancers and advanced movers. I also teach company class for a range of professional dance organisations, including Phoenix Dance Theatre, Company Chameleon, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, and many others.
About the Class
In my classes, I create a welcoming environment where dancers can be curious, playful and fully present.
Together, we'll explore movement in all planes and levels, discovering efficient pathways and patterns that support ease, clarity and freedom in motion. I encourage dancers to investigate their own movement potential, deepen their physical awareness, and develop greater articulation and expressive range.
I invite you to move with intention from a place of connection, curiosity and awareness — while embracing both challenge and creativity. Above all, my classes are a space to connect with others, share the experience of dancing, and find inspiration in moving together.
Each class is accompanied live by Douglas Thorpe, whose music creates an ever-changing landscape that supports and inspires the movement throughout the session.
Let the dance begin.
Come as you are. Let loose to the music, awaken your body and mind, and share your passion with a community of like-minded dancers.
Together, we'll move, explore and celebrate the joy of dance.
